Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Egypt Q4 2022

During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Egypt showed varied performance trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Below is a closer look at each app's metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at approximately 13.5K in late September and ending at around 11.5K in the last week of December. The app’s weekly active users began at nearly 20K and experienced a gradual decline to about 16K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride had a more stable trend in weekly downloads, beginning with 7.7K and ending at 6.6K. Its weekly active users showed a consistent decrease from about 146.5K in late September to roughly 115.5K by the end of December.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides started with weekly downloads of around 7.2K, which remained relatively steady through the quarter, closing at 6.7K. The app’s weekly active users also showed a minor decline from approximately 10.1K to 8.4K.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 2.7K and dropping to about 2.2K by the end of December. Its weekly active users fluctuated but ended the quarter higher, starting from around 45.4K and closing at roughly 42.7K.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash started with 1.4K weekly downloads and saw a slight increase to about 1.3K by the end of December. The app’s weekly active users remained fairly stable, fluctuating slightly around the 3.4K mark throughout the quarter.
